Building Skills Through Practical Experience

Back in 2022, we started with a simple observation: most people struggle with meal planning not because they lack recipes, but because they never learned the underlying strategy.

Our courses focus on the actual techniques that make meal prepping sustainable, from efficient grocery shopping to batch cooking methods that save hours each week.

We work with home cooks who want to reduce daily stress around meals while improving their nutrition and budget management.

How We Learned What Actually Works

The project began when our founder, Isla Drummond, spent three months interviewing families who consistently meal prepped. She discovered patterns that rarely appeared in cookbooks or online tutorials.

Most successful meal preppers didn't follow rigid plans. Instead, they built flexible frameworks that adapted to their weekly schedules and ingredient availability.

We documented these approaches and tested them with different household sizes and dietary preferences. The results showed that certain principles worked across varied situations.

Our first course launched in early 2023 with 47 students. We tracked their progress through weekly check-ins and adjusted the curriculum based on what they found challenging.

By mid-2024, we had refined the core methods and expanded into specialized areas like budget-conscious meal prep, allergy-friendly planning, and time-efficient batch cooking.

Today, our courses serve Leeds residents and surrounding areas, with content tailored to local grocery availability and regional food preferences.
